We are looking for a Building Services Team Leader to support our Kodak Rochester Facilities (KRF) group
The Kodak Rochester Facilities (KRF) group is responsible for the management of buildings and site services, contract and supplier management, fire department, inspections and risk management, and several supporting operational services, and supports Eastman Business Park growth and strategic initiatives.
Job description:
The Building Services/Cleaner Team Leader performs all the duties associated with the cleaner position plus:
• Direct the day-to-day activities of a defined team of people to ensure all required cleaning and housekeeping is completed each shift
• Regular inspections of defined work areas to ensure cleaning is meeting expectations
• Work with other Team Leaders to move resources to cover absences, vacations and special requests (e.g. special projects, flood clean-up, etc).
• Work closely with Supervision to improve services, cost and provide new services.
• Liaison with tenants and residents to address concerns or special requests.
• Act as first point of contact for Cleaner requests and concerns
• Keep supervision abreast of developing issues and/or concerns.
• Ensure team members follow all necessary safe work practices.
The Cleaner position supports the Eastman Kodak Company and its tenants with the cleaning and housekeeping of offices, labs, restrooms, break rooms, locker rooms and common areas.
The individual in this job performs a variety of activities designed to service maintain, and execute building and site related activities. This cleaner works under the direction of Supervision to clean/maintain defined areas in multiple buildings around Kodak Rochester. This position performs a variety of cleaning and housekeeping activities in different industrial, lab and office settings.
Job Duties:
• Cleaning hallways, stairwells, bathrooms, washing and possibly waxing floors (walk behind auto scrubber), emptying trash, etc.
• Candidate will be responsible for maintaining a defined route to empty trash, clean and stock restrooms, vacuum carpets and sweep and mop hallways and foyers.
• Candidate will be responsible for responding to special cleaning requests as directed by the team leader and for backfilling for team members as require by vacation or absence.
• Maintenance of Site, common conference rooms including periodic checks of all site-owned conference room supplies (i.e. easels, markers, paper, etc.) maintenance and refill.
• Set-up’s (for conference rooms/gym etc.). Restoration of conference room/gym to standard set-up after event
• Emergency Clean-up (water, etc.).
Building Exterior Bldg. Maintenance
• Policing and cleaning up of lobby areas - all KRF and identified non-KRF managed buildings - seasonally
• Sweeping of Dock Platforms and Bays as necessary
• The cleaning out of debris/trash from around & under dock bays.
• Snow removal during site emergencies, for building entrances (pushing open doors for clearance).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Knowledge of the standard practices, materials, chemicals and equipment used in the general cleaning and housekeeping.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and personal limitations
Miscellaneous Critical Responsibilities
• Inspecting areas during regular cleaning routes to detect and report deficiencies and fixtures or area needing repair.
• Fire Extinguishers inspected monthly checks
• Emergency/Exit Light inspection and records provided monthly for all sites.
• Provide support for the Kodak Rochester emergency and exit lighting program (monthly inspections and identified repair needs by Porter. Repair and installation via electrician as appropriate.)
• Assist with Eye Bath & Emergency Shower inspections in KRF managed buildings in common areas only.
Physical Requirements
• Regularly lift and or move up to 25lbs/12kg.
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg.
• Regularly required to stand; walk; sit, bend, and talk or hear.
• Pushing/pulling/bending/twisting/walking.
• Ability to work with standard housekeeping chemicals
• Must be able to stand on feet for long periods of time
• A lot of walking and ability to ensure all work is completed by end of shift
• Heights; work on a step ladder.
• Work may require employee to be exposed to inclement weather conditions at tmies
Education Required
• High School diploma or GED
• Equivalent experience in a related field in an industrial/manufacturing environment is a “plus”.
Special Requirements, Licenses, and Certifications
• Valid NYS Driver’s License is required.
