Are you a person who is good at working with your hands and love a challenge? We are looking for a few great candidates to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will have experience putting together projects from an existing patterns, schematics, or designs. Great hand/eye coordination and excellent visual acuity are a must! This job will require attention to detail. You must be comfortable working with your hands building small and precise assemblies.

If you have some or all these skills it would be an asset:
•    Build from pattern, drawing or plans
•    Assembly of small parts
•    Basic soldering skills
•    Familiarity with ESD preferred
•    Loading firmware (Arduino, Betaflight, iNAV or similar)
•    Black and white darkroom experience
•    Optical assembly

Responsibilites:

This position is responsible for the production of various optical, mechanical, and electronic assemblies and their overall production process.
•    Assembly, testing, assessing product quality and troubleshooting to support on-time production with high quality workmanship
•    Maintenance of equipment 
•    Prioritize production activities to maximize the team’s output in collaboration with the Team Leader
•    Escalate production issues to Team Leader  in a timely manner to minimize delays in production
•    Collaborate with Quality and Engineering team to identify and close quality/reliability concerns 
•    Testing completed optical systems: collecting data under controlled conditions, recording data from those tests, processing the film, assessing image quality 
•    Other important activities will include determining production methods and working with the Team Lead to eliminate production wastes

Requirements:
•    Minimum high school diploma or equivalent work experience
•    Experience in mechanical, optical, electrical assembly preferred or equivalent education 
•    Ability to follow/understand SOPs, provide feedback and suggest improvements to processes desirable
•    Appreciation of production systems including MRP, ECO's, non-conformance reports, and inventory transactions including cycle count to maintain inventory accuracy
•    Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
•    Attention to detail and meticulous work habits
•    Comfortable working on very small complex assemblies 
•    Positive working attitude
•    Ability to work independently with little supervision
•    Ability to multi-task and prioritize
•    Ability to lift a 17kg weight without assistance multiple times per day.
•    Strong communication skills
•    Experience in traditional still or movie photography and darkroom skills would be an asset
