The main responsibilities of the successful candidate will include:
•    Assist in the daily operations of the machine shop including the maintenance of tools and equipment
•    Fabricate production and prototype parts to specifications
•    Rework non-conforming parts 

 

Requirements:
•    Machinist student enrolled in a Canadian accredited technologist program for CNC machinist
•    Experience with manual milling machine, lathes, and common metal working power and manual tools
•    Experience with reading fabrication drawings and specifications and producing conforming parts
•    Familiarity and experience with CNC milling machines operation including programming in GibbsCAM
•    Familiarity with high precision tolerance parts fabrication and processes is a strong asset
•    Familiarity with printing industry and printing equipment is a strong asset
•    Familiarity with SolidWorks is an asset
•    Attention to detail, a “can do” attitude, and a desire to learn
