Role Overview

 

The Manufacturing Warehouse & Stores Supervisor is responsible for managing all warehouse and stores activities, including shipping, receiving, storage, HSE activities, inventory control, and material distribution to production. This role ensures efficient operations, accurate inventory, and a safe working environment while leading a team of warehouse personnel.  A successful candidate must be strong team player, operationally sharp and detail-driven while having a safety-first and continuous improvement mindset. 

 

Warehouse & Inventory Operations
•    Oversee daily warehouse and stores activities including receiving, put-away, picking, staging, and shipping.
•    Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, audits, and reconciliation of discrepancies.
•    Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment to support production schedules.
•    Ensure materials are stored safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
•    Partner with other Logistics Managers and manufacturing to facilitate changes to shipping schedules/manufacturing Production order requirements to meet dates and cost.

 

Team Leadership
•    Supervise, train, and mentor warehouse and stores personnel.
•    Assign daily tasks, monitor performance, and ensure productivity targets are met.
•    Promote a positive, safety-focused work culture.

 

Production Support
•    Coordinate material flow to production lines to prevent downtime.
•    Work closely with production planners, purchasing, and quality teams to resolve material issues.
•    Ensure timely delivery of components, tools, and consumables to manufacturing areas.

 

Safety & Compliance
•    Enforce workplace safety policies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
•    Conduct regular safety inspections and participate in incident investigations.
•    Support HSE Site activities: Pallet rack inspections, Handling of Hazardous waste, Coordinate Maintenance/ Inspect equipment.

 

Systems & Reporting
•    Use ERP/MRP systems to manage inventory transactions and generate reports.
•    Track KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and warehouse efficiency.
•    Recommend process improvements to enhance accuracy, speed, and cost-effectiveness

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
•    Previous warehouse leadership experience – 3-5 yrs.
•    Demonstrates strong leadership skills and works collaboratively with team and peers
•    Communicates effectively 
•    Well organized with good follow-up skills
•    Pays attention to details and has ability to multi-task
•    Drives Productivity within the team
•    Computer Experience:  SAP, Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, Power Point)
•    Operate warehouse machinery (forklift, air bag machine, etc.) – as needed
