Role Overview

 

Kodak is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern.

 

Job description and requirements:
•    Safely work in a manufacturing facility per required safety training at start.
•    Learn the lithographic printing plate manufacturing process.
•    Design pieces and mechanisms using Autodesk Inventor.
•    Project documentation.
•    Periodic progress updates.
•    As part of the Engineering team, you will participate in the technical presentations and discussions.

 

Requirements:
•    Mechanical Engineering majors at an accredited university with an interest in CAD design and manufacturing processes. 
•    Strong analytic skills.
•    Ability to work in a team environment. 
•    Able to learn procedures for safety.
•    Proficient at Inventor and basic mechanical design. 

 

This intern will work with our mechanical engineers to complete projects on C1 and C2 process lines. This includes:

1.    Guarding – Collaborate to design in the machine guarding project (safety). 
2.    C 2 Accumulator Pulleys – Eliminate rubbing that causes debris to fall onto the web (quality/reliability).

 

Besides supporting the projects, the internship is helping to update the electrical drawings for C1 process line and P&IDs for the plant.

 

An end-of-summer presentation to show completed work and lessons learned will be required.

 

Work schedule: Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Internship period: June 2nd to July 31st, 2025
