Role Overview

Do you want to be part of the future of high-speed digital print materials and processes?  We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Digital Print Engineering team in Dayton, OH. 

 

Both domestic and international travel to customer sites is expected and will typically be between ~10-15%.

 

In this role, you will work with other engineers, technicians, cross-functional team members and suppliers to develop and sustain commercial digital inkjet printing products. The successful candidate will be a hands-on mechanical engineer, a technical problem solver and solution implementor, a technical liaison with suppliers of transport & dryer subsystems.  World-wide travel to customer and partner sites to provide engineering level product support is expected. 

 

Required Skills/Experience:
· B.S. in Mechanical Engineering with studies in mechanics, structures, heat transfer and/or fluid dynamics
· 3-5+ yrs. of post-graduate work experience in a product development role
· Self-motivated & directed, adapts well to change. 
· Application of engineering principles to solve technical problems and implement solutions
· Excellent communications skills written and verbal, effective working across cultures. 
· Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multi-functional team environment

 

Desired Qualifications:
· Experience with digital printing systems, media transports and drying systems
· Experience in Systems Engineering/Integration
· Project leadership experience
· Experience with product safety regulatory compliance
· Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and SolidWorks CAD software
