Role Overview
Kodak is looking for a Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our Battery Coating Division located in Rochester, NY. This position will be part of a team that operates a pilot and production-scale RTR facility at the Eastman Business Park in Rochester, NY. This facility provides both experimental and production toll coating services to support the new products and technologies for the battery and energy industries. The ideal candidate will have prior experience maintaining roll-to-roll pilot and manufacturing equipment.
Requirements:
1. Ability to achieve a high level of expertise of chemical process equipment for effective troubleshooting and equipment repair
2. Execute preventive maintenance program
3. Calibrate, alignment and make adjustments with test equipment and production equipment
4. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools
5. Field fault analysis – determines if instrument has failed or if it is a process problem.
6. Field calibration of instrumentation utilizing proper test equipment; annual PM`s
7. Repair of signal transmission facility such as tubing, wiring, etc.
8. Troubleshoot and repair Instrumentation to include pneumatic, electronic and digital equipment.
9. Troubleshoot and repair hardwire relay logic, motor control circuits, motor power circuits (120V to 480V 3phase) and common utility / lighting circuits.
10. Installation of new control circuits, modification of existing instrument/electrical systems as requested, to include design, load and Implementation of new control logic.
11. Fault analysis of PLC based systems with control logic modification if required.
12. Provide multi-discipline capability to repair, maintain, install, and make improvements to chemical processing equipment and machinery (includes pneumatics, hydraulics, controls (PLC’s), and electrical components)
13. Some experience or expertise in piping, HVAC equipment and controls
Skills required:
1. Formal instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, and/or AEM training and demonstrated experience
2. Mechanical equipment repair training and/or demonstrated experience: pumps, mechanical seals, agitators, gear boxes, fans (bearings, sheaves), alignment
3. Demonstrate practical analytical troubleshooting skills
4. Able to read electrical, instrument and machine drawings
5. Able to read PLC programs to troubleshoot equipment problems
6. Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
7. Excellent safety record – places safety and environment as top priority in all work
8. Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out
9. Understanding of electrical codes for hazardous environments (flammable liquids)
10. Training and or certification(s) required by OSHA to safely perform electrical work involving voltage greater than 50 volts.
11. Good communication skills – daily communications with maintenance planner, technical staff and operations as needed
12. Good team player – willing be flexible, work in other areas and with other trades as needed
Education, Experience and Training
• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years experience with diploma from accredited Technical School, military electrical/electronic training
• OR a minimum ten years field experience in industrial environment, without a degree, or any combination of experience and training that would provide the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
