Electrochemisty Intern

Eastman Kodak is seeking an innovative and motivated Graduate Student Co-Op to join our team. We are looking for someone who is passionate about batteries, including, but not limited to Li-ion. 

Our team is particularly interested in new technologies related to Na-ion, solid state batteries, sulfur batteries, silicone anode batteries, flow batteries, among others.

The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background in electrochemistry, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment. Responsibilities:

•    The graduate intern will gain experience in industrial research and will be able to collaborate with process engineers to scale-up laboratory formulations that achieve desired performance.

•    To propose and carry new research plans in selected areas of battery technologies 

•    Provide electrochemistry support as needed under the direction of her or his mentor. 

•    To discuss procedures to be followed, conduct experiments adhering to safety protocols, document experiment observations, and characterization results.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background in electrochemistry, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preference will be given to graduate students that have completed at least two years of graduate research in battery technologies. 
 

Education and Experience Requirements:

•    Currently enrolled in a college graduate program 
•    Completed at least two years of research in battery technologies.
•    Prior industry experience is preferred.
