Role Overview

 

We are looking for a dynamic Human Resources Manager to join our U.S. Human Resources Team, onsite in Rochester, NY.  This role will provide Human Resources strategy and day-to-day support to organizational leadership and employees to drive strong business performance and employee satisfaction.

This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 3 days a week in office.

Responsibilities:
•    Business Support: Provide HR support to client areas as assigned. Develop effective working relationships and influence management on the development and delivery of people plans in support of the achievement of assigned business area strategies and overall HR strategies. Counsel leaders on best practices; may assist in development and implementation of “change” tools and methodologies.    
•    Deploy/Administer HR Processes: Partner with leaders in support of deploying and administering HR policy and practices. Interpret, communicate, and educate employees and leaders on HR policy and practices such as compensation, performance counselling, resource management, country/local laws/regulations, etc.    
•    Talent Acquisition: Partner with managers and recruiting in support of talent acquisition for both full time and temporary resource options as well as evaluating labor mix.    
•    Employee Relations: Investigate and analyze employee requests, concerns and complaints and suggest recommendations to solve issues. Proactively work with the organizations to improve the workplace. Mediate situations to resolve conflict. Provide counselling and coaching to managers and employees on business and HR issues, policy, and practice (e.g., employee engagement, dispute resolution).    
•    HRIS Support and Implementation:   Support and influence the implementation and ongoing development of SAP Success Factors    
•    Engagement: Drives, influences, advises and supports the cultural and people aspects of organizational change, structures, people processes and best practice initiatives. Assist with internal communications with client aligned groups to help foster an environment of inclusion.    
•    Maintain organizational compliance with country, federal, state, local laws.    

 

 

Skills/Knowledge: 5+ years experience

•    Demonstrated experience in organizational changes, overhauling an organizational structure and upgrading talent.     
•    Bachelor’s degree required in related field or equivalent HR experience.    
•    Demonstrated exceptional oral and written communication skills.  Ability to successfully communicate with employees and leaders at all levels of the organization; interpret and relay established policies, procedures, practices, and laws. Willingness to cooperate with and influence a global and diverse HR team.     
•    Demonstrated skill with ownership and/or management of HR projects, partnering with management teams, and effective, proactive problem solving and strong follow up skills.     
•    Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to meet deadlines and enjoy working in a fast-paced work environment.     
•    Demonstrated success at working in a high tech or manufacturing site as an HR Manager.     
Must use initiative when problem solving with minimal supervision, professionally handle confidential material and information, maintain discretion, and display a high degree of trust.     
•    Experience with HR SAP/Paychex preferred; Microsoft Office required.     
•    Strong communication, problem-solving and analytical skills, sound business judgment, and integrity are crucial.

Estimated Salary:  $85,000 - $105,000
