Role Overview

As a member of Eastman Kodak’s IT leadership team, the IT Manager- Systems Administration plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation, security, and scalability of Kodak’s technology infrastructure. The IT Manager is responsible for IT server and storage management and technical performance including hardware, operating system, server administration tools, and application server environments. The IT Manager will also work with Application, Security, and Network teams to design, implement, and oversee Kodak’s server infrastructure and to contribute to the creation and enforcement of IT standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures. This individual will manage the team that holds responsibility for day-to-day operations of the infrastructure and for system administration support during the implementation of new functionality supporting business area requirements. This position will report to the Director, Worldwide Server Operations.

 

This is a fully onsite position in Rochester, New York. 

 

This role requires a dynamic individual who can balance technical expertise with strategic thinking. The IT Manager must be adaptable, proactive, and capable of driving positive change in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.


RESPONSIBILITIES:
·Lead the system administration team located in Rochester, NY and in offices around the world.
·Work with IT Director and other management as appropriate to draft/manage standards, guidelines, policies, and procedures.
·Oversee systems management functions including incident management, fault isolation resolution, security management, and systems and network integration.
·Provide strategic and operations leadership for the development and execution of an IT infrastructure strategic plan, considering business needs, scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
·Provide leadership, direction, and guidance for creating and maintaining productive work environment, ensuring staff have the appropriate skills and tools to perform their jobs.
·Provide oversight/leadership of configuration management, troubleshooting, and systems management methodologies and practices.
·Oversee backup and disaster recovery system management functions.
·Forecast demand for computer and storage capacity and proactively take appropriate actions.
·Research and recommend technology and solutions for IT Infrastructure with a focus on process improvement, automation, and optimization.
·Manage Vendor relationships and maintenance contracts for IT Infrastructure. 
·Maintain infrastructure equipment inventory and manage hardware lifecycle.
·Ensure that IT governance, audit, and compliance requirements are met.
·Understand and manage IT security policies and best practices.
·Develop and follow documented ITIL procedures for incident, problem and change management.
·Organize the 24x7 on-call support and serve as the escalation manager.

Education and Experience:

·Bachelor of Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
·Minimum 10+ years of directly relevant IT experience and 5+ years direct supervisory experience in a management administrative capacity or advanced technical leadership.
·Strong understanding of:
     o    Windows, Linux and VMWare System Administration
     o    Microsoft Azure
     o    Storage systems (i.e. NetApp)
     o    Server hardware
     o    Microsoft Active Directory
     o    Backup and Recovery
     o    Disaster Recovery
