We are looking for an  Roadway  and Grounds Crew Member/Operator to support our Kodak Rochester Facilities (KRF) group.
 
The Kodak Rochester Facilities (KRF) group is responsible for the management of buildings and site services, contract and supplier management, inspections and risk management, and several supporting operational services, and supports Eastman Business Park growth and strategic initiatives.
 
 

DESCRIPTION:
Advance skilled roadway and grounds maintenance crew member,  which performs a wide variety of maintenance of exterior site related activities, to include; Assists in  the landscape maintenance, responsible for the maintenance and appearance of turf, shrub, tree, mulch beds, and open areas, snow removal and deicing of parking lots, internal roads, asphalt / stone areas, and building entrances with the use of  equipment. Assists in Roadway and grounds maintenance, maintain and fill potholes during season, repairs fence lines, and guardrails. The employee may perform services such as site flushing, hauling and handling of all landscape soil and stone products associated with the grounds and site needs. Provide service to all parking lot and roadway requirements, with regards to lot and road lighting, road and parking signage, parking gate maintenance. Assist with any other site service-related activities if required.
 
 

JOB DUTIES:
Roadway and Grounds:
•    Assist in the maintenance of all landscaping within the Rochester Sites, to include the maintenance of Eastman Business Park location, acres of parking lots, miles of roadways, acres of pavement, fencing, guardrail, and guard posts.
•    Removal of trash from all outside trash and cigarette receptacles throughout the property.
•    Routine monitoring and removal of trash and debris along external perimeter of property including entrances and fence line areas. 
•    Streets and lot flushing, provide dust control, the washing of dock areas, watering of plant material.
•    Operate a 6-wheel dump truck and loader service for all landscape maintenance and project work, such as topsoil, decorative stone, mulch, and crushed stone products. During winter months loading and offloading salt.
•    Provide emergency loader/backhoe service to all KR sites. 
•    Perform Spring and Fall Grounds Clean up.
•    Weekly Bed Maintenance. Weeding, pruning and yearly mulch application. May include some tree/shrub pruning. Planting seasonal plants and flower’s
•    Maintain catch basin surfaces, drainage swales, and culvert pipes to prevent flooding of asphalt areas, parking lots, or existing roads.
•    Provide minor repair of all fencing, gates and guardrails, to include emergency security requests, which mandate immediate action.
•    Mend minor pothole repairs with cold patch material.
•    Provide roadblock, sign coordination, and installation.
•    Provide support and minor repairs to all parking lot gates, gate arms.
•    Conduct site lighting assessments, and interface with lighting contractor if repairs require high lifts.
•    Operate a 6-wheeler pickup truck for various snow and landscape requirements, including emergency response.
•    Assist with salt barrel placement, and replenishment of salt bins at locations including doorways, walkouts, turnstiles, and parking lots. 
•    Selective snow removal and de-icing of the following… Personnel doors at various buildings, sidewalks/life-walks, parking areas, roadways, gates and turnstiles hydrants, and railway switches.
 
Track Maintenance and Equipment Operation
•    Helps to remove and replace railroad track components such as rails, ties, spikes, tie plates, etc.
•    Perform minor maintenance of railroad switches.
•    Perform snow removal and salting duties to keep the switches and track areas clear and usable during the winter months.
 
 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
•    Knowledge of the standard practices, materials, tools, and equipment used in the maintenance of roadway and grounds activities.
•    Knowledge of safety issues in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies
•    Must have a valid NYS drivers license.

Education Required:
Educational level acquired through the completion of high school or 5 years of hands-on work experience which will provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform job duties. Candidates will be evaluated on an individual basis.

Commercial Driver's License (CDL) issued by State of New York.
Tank and Hazmat Endorsement
Pesticide Applicator/ Technician Certification – New York State
