Transportation Planning

Role Overview

Provide transportation support for Eastman Kodak’s Logistics Department relating to all Modes of Transport with a focus on International Transportation.  Secondary support to other Transportation departmental functions.  Collect and Analyze data in support of continual improvement.  Work with carriers to resolve day to day operational issues and concerns.

Details of Position:

Operational Items

• Use root cause analysis to evaluate delays, errors and concern with carriers
• Provide Quotes and Transit time as needed for various business units in support of project analysis.
• Review discrepancy deliveries and resolve with carriers.
• Liaise with Carriers on operational challenges
• Monitor carrier performance
• Arrange pickups as necessary for RA’s, damages or refusals by customers

Parcel Administrator

• Maintain accounts and users as needed.  
• Update shipping instruction documentation as needed based on need for Parcel account.
• Provide rates and quotes as needed.
• Review data to keep costs in line with projected annual spend

Other/Miscellaneous

• Backup various department functions including Freight Bill Payment
• Support and coverage for other Team members during Vacation time
• Run Reports as required for support of Business units
• Work with Customer service and planners on urgent inbound/outbound shipments that require intervention with carriers to ensure timely delivery.

Education Level:
•    College or Post Secondary Education is an Asset
•    Logistics & Transportation Experience a Plus
