Warehouse Team Leader

Role Overview

The Warehouse Team Leader will manage the day to day people movement of the team, moving the appropriate people to the work.  Encourage and support cross-training of employees thru different job functions.  Back-up/Assist the Supervisor with any warehouse projects that need to be implemented. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
•    Establish and maintain a safe, secure work environment
•    Knowledgeable in all job positions in the warehouse
•    Act as the first point of contact for all day to day escalations that need warehouse investigation
•    Reinforce the use of standard work and adherence to procedures for the warehouse staff
•    Participate in the developing of training plans for new employees and monitor/certify success
•    Encourage and support cross-training of employees
•    Understand Business/Team Metrics – and communicate them effectively to the team 
•    Assist the Supervisor in any Project related warehouse work
•    Back—up the Supervisor while he/she is out of the office

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
•    Previous warehouse leadership experience – 3-5 yrs.
•    Operate warehouse machinery (forklift, air bag machine, etc) – as needed
•    Strong interpersonal skills – role model
•    Drives Productivity within the team
•    Attention to details and well organized
•    Communicate effectively
•    Computer Experience:  SAP, Microsoft office suite (Outlook, Teams, Sharepoint, Word, Excel)
